Spec Ops Narrative Trailer Welcomes You To Hell

Inspired by Joseph Conrad’s classic, Heart of Darkness, Yager’s Spec Ops: The Line will explore the grim reality of corruption and warfare. Although the trailer below doesn’t address everything, leaving enough doors open to keep players guessing, it’s heavy on the action/gore and begins to develops the game’s protagonist, Martin Walker.

The Line took 71st place in our list of 100 most anticipated games of 2012, having occupied no. 36 the year before.

Despite the slight drop in interest, we’re sure 2K will have heads turning when Spec Ops makes its grand return on June 29th.

  1. Hm. Not sure about this one. Story looks good, but it seems to also fall into using lines like “We’ve been set up”, so maybe the idea of the Americans being bad is just another superficial premise like in Homefront?

  2. I’ve pre-ordered this. I never pre-order anything. Ever. Especially not a shooter.

    • Do you know how to pre-order tuffcub? :)

      • I don’t know how to pre-order Tuffcub – Is there an online form or something?? :P

In a response that is less sarcastic though, my first ever pre-order was for BF3.

      • You can’t pre-order me, there’s a waiting list

    • I pre ordered this too, and I also never pre order games, then again it was £4.99.

  3. Never heard anything about it before now, but it looks FIT. Will probs pick it up when reviews are out though.

  4. This game looks really interesting

  5. It’s nice to see a city setting that isn’t based on New York/LA or another stereotypical US city. That was a good trailer so I hope this is a good game.

  6. *finger hovers over confirm pre order*
