Sony’s April Tease Is God Of War Related

Today’s earlier tease? It’s God of War related.

Sure, it’s hardly a massive leap of faith if you just wanted to guess, but I’ve just had a quick shufty for myself and figured it out in about a minute.

How? Easy. Go to the PlayStation Facebook page, then click on ‘4.19’ date thingy at the top and you’ll end up here – a nice big image.

Look at the source, or grab an image URL and check the bit on the far right hand side. After all the gubbins you’ll see a location on the SCEA server.

The location? Reads a bit like this – webasset/fbml/gowa_fb/2.png – which, as I’m sure you can figure out, is based around Facebook but with ‘gowa’ at the end.

God of War something.

  8. God of War: ATTACK! – a Facebook game in which you have to cultivate crops to feed an army of Spartan warriors based on how many of your friends you can get to join your war.

    Every two hours you need to log in to sharpen your BLADES OF FURY and every three hours you have to harvest the crops around your camp or your soldiers all start to starve to death. For £0.99 you can buy a storage silo to keep your grain in so you only have to harvest once every 7 hours instead but the silo degrades over time so that you need to buy a new one every 3 days.

    There will be a supporting mobile app that beeps with a push notification ten minutes before your army starts to starve and features a special mini game in which you have to frantically rub your finger on the screen in order to sharpen your BLADES OF FURY. The app will require you to create an account with GoWA’a special game tracking service (and link it to your PSN account) so that it can upload your BLADES OF FURY sharpness information to a persistent online leader board.
