Company Of Heroes 2 Officially Announced

THQ has officially announced Company of Heroes 2, which will release in 2013 on PC.

Company of Heroes 2 will take place on World War 2’s Eastern Front where players will control the Red Army of the Soviet Union. The game will use Relic’s Essence 3.0 engine to improve graphics and environmental damage. Relic Entertainment Producer, Greg Wilson said:

“Company of Heroes 2 is a true successor, introducing a new front, new protagonists and new technology while retaining the unique mix of strategic gameplay and competitive multiplayer that made the original Company of Heroes such a success.”

The original Company of Heroes released back in 2005 and was met with critical praise, gaining a score of 93%.  The first in game screenshot is available to view below.

  1. The original was one of my all time favourite PC games , i got all ww2’d out a couple of years ago though and am ready now for some more action particularly with the amazing attention to historical accuracy in these titles .

    • You should try World in Conflict dude, it’s a more modern (set at the fall of the Soviet Union, where it attacks America to stop falling apart)version of this, just without the base building but more abilities you can use. Great game with a great single player campaign (Alec Baldwin is an excellent narrator).

  2. Very excited for this game, I’ll be happy just with more of what we already have but some new features would be nice :)

  3. That screenie looks pretty.
