Bioshock Infinite Delayed, Out Next February

2K have just announced that Ken Levine’s Bioshock Infinite has been delayed.

Originally slated for an October release this year, the first person adventure follow-up will now be out next year, February 26th being the currently locked down date.

“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing,” said Levine. “Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary.”

“Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, weve decided to move the game’s release to February.”

  1. :O nooo. I had it all mapped out: Infinite was scheduled for release a week or so before my wife and I are due to have a baby. Assuming Ironman (that’s his temporary name) arrived on time, I was going to use those couple of weeks to storm through the game before entering the world of sleepless nights. Oh well :)

  2. oh god, the DNF flashbacks are starting. O_O

  3. Noooooooooo. This was my most anticipated game of the year. I can understand they want to get as many sales as possible, and releasing near COD, Halo, AC3, and others will not help them. Oh well guess its my most anticipated game of 2013 now.

  4. I think i heard 2013 on some website _way_ back then.

  5. 2013 Q1 seems more and more crowded, and 2012 H2 seems less and less interesting.

  6. How much more extraordinary can it get? :/
