Nippon Ichi Celebrating 20 Years With a Vita Release

Nippon Ichi has said that they’ll be celebrating their twentieth anniversary by announcing a new game for the PlayStation Vita. There are other projects in the works, of course. A PS3 game called The Witch and the Hundred Knights is known, with a planned release later this year.

They’ve also already hinted at an RPG with artwork from Noizi Ito (Shining Force Feather) that we saw back in April. But according to Dengeki PlayStation magazine, via Siliconera, this is something else. The unannounced Vita game’s genre isn’t even known yet but it’s probably safe to assume, coming from these guys, that it’ll be an odd RPG with gorgeous artwork and a very weird storyline.

Good to know that these kind of studios have projects in the works for Vita, isn’t it?

  1. No, it means “Japan’s Best”. (Somebody had to say it… sorry)

This is great, Vita needs some more love. I wonder when they’ll announce it. E3? TGS? Tomorrow?

  2. I’m intrigued. They do make good games so I can’t wait for more news on this one

  3. I’ll take part in the congratulations once they sort out NISAs inability to release DLC and full downloadable titles across all of europe.
