In news that will surprise only Gollum, there’s going to be a Lego Lord of the Rings game. It had long been assumed, rumoured, attributed to unnamed sources and then discovered via packaging on advanced review toys sent to journalists. Well now it’s confirmed.
It’s from Traveller’s Tales again, naturally, and it features everyone’s favourite fantasy characters not imagined by George R R Martin. It’ll be on just about everything that plays games: the 360 and PS3, PC, Wii, 3DS and DS, and the Vita. No mention of Wii U though, as yet.
It’s pencilled in for this autumn, which should be roughly around the time that Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit arrives in cinemas.

Nooooooooo.. Why is there voice.. It’s much better when its just lego mumbling noises
Mr-Flame-Head
lego batman 2 is the first lego game to feature proper voice acting, it will still contain typical lego game humour, but since the series was considered to be getting stale this is probably a good thing
bigbaldwolf
I think this needed voice acting. Looks really good as well

GAME OF THE YEAR. (Besides Lego Batman.)
MICKY17
This will be excellent. I would have prefered to have the usual LEGO mumbling but as long as its still funny, that’s fine.

I’m not sure this does have voices in game.
It could just be synced up to the trailer.
I hope they don’t have voices.

Is this all three of the films in 1 game, or will it be 3 separate games? The films are so dense, there’s easily enough for them to make 3 games out of.
colmshan1990
It’ll be all three in one.
And they might be dense, but the games will focus on the action bits mainly.
gazzagb
True, I guess it would be pretty boring to be Frodo the whole time and just walk!

On Vita? I’m sold!
gaffers101
I think I’ll go for the Vita version too.

This looks amazing! I went off the LEGO games after Star Wars but I love LOTR.
