This TV advert for Halo 4, a mixture of live action and CGI, was shown in the UK during the football last night. It’s typical Halo fare, with lots of emotive military types and a rousing voice over to accompany the huge explosions and a heroic looking Master Chief.
Halo has always had good trailers and this is a solid showing too, if a little short.

I did see it last night, thinking “what’s this? Prometheus?!.. No, Halo..”. Shiny big budget job indeed.
sg
Prometheus looked like it could have been a mass effect film (just by going by the tv adverts).

I thought it looked pretty intriguing, then was a bit dissapointed when it came up saying it was Halo as I don’t have a 360.
Ironically, my brother who does have a 360 said it was weird and stupid. I might have to liberate his console from him.

I thought that advert was terrible, only until master chief showed up for last however long was it good…

meh!
just another halo..
they lost the plot after halo 2 ,reach was ok ish and wtf was odst?
never say never but probably wont be rushing out on day 1

More or less

Thought it was Mass Effect trailer for a movie xD
The baldy woman looked like Jack in ME
Also the slow explosion sucked in then blows away is a copy from the Battlefield Movie trailer is it not?
Other than that it was brilliant, shame I don’t play 360 anymore far too many games out like every week!
sg
i thought it was mass effect as well at first.

Sadly I dont have a 360, this is the one series I have always wanted to play but cant. Shame. Advert was great IMO.

Agreed.
The trailer was pretty good. I loved Halo 1 & 2, but thought 3,ODST and Reach weren’t as good. Will hopefully get to play this at some point :)

they’ve always done some pretty damn cool live action trailers for the halo series.
and every time it make me a little sad that we never got to see the Neill Blomkamp directed, Peter Jackson produced movie.
anyway, the Halo series has been one of the few fps series i’ve really enjoyed.
i’ve finished each game except for ODST.
the new game is looking good, but it remains to be seen if the new studio can live up to Bungie’s legacy.
