Tomorrow – that’s when WipEout 2048 will be updated with brand new DLC, and if you’ve bought the stuff on PS3, it’s yours for Vita, free of charge.

“The PS3 incarnation of the WipEout series, WipEout HD, is now available to download on PS Vita in the form of the WipEout 2048 – WipEout HD Game Pack priced £6.49,” says the press release.

“Race your way through 12 new tracks (including eight reverse tracks) whilst mastering 12 new ships – a futuristic racing package sure to test the wits of those who have already conquered WipEout 2048.”

Both packs can be bought in a “complete game pack” at a discounted rate of £9.99.

“With 24 tracks, full access to 24 ships, plus four zone tracks, this is the ultimate package for those looking to experience uncompromised racing on-the-go,” say Sony.

  1. More Vita love, keep this up Soby as this is what the Vita needs to stand over and show the strength of the Playstation Eco system.

  2. I got the original WipEout free with Playstation Plus when it launched in June 2010 and the full game and Fury expansion pack after the PSN went down last April. Now looking at the games today on my HHD and the Fury expansion and original WipEout no longer work “missing a main key” is all I get and when I do get it to load I only have a trial version. I have looked in my download list to try and redownload them both again but only the expansion pack is there and original game has been removed If you search the store you can find all parts but now have no red bag to say I own any of them.

    Thank you Sony for screwing me yet again, this makes the forth time they have done me and not been very helpful.

  3. Sweet. No mention of new music, though. I hope we at least get the new tracks that came with the Fury DLC on the PS3.

  4. Sadly if you have the retail version of the PS3 you cannot get the DLC for Vita for free (from Playstation Blog)….. as a retail version owner :(
