Activision has announced that it will be publishing a tie in for Wreck-It Ralph. Disney’s upcoming movie recently turned gamer’s heads with its character-packed trailer and now we’ll get a chance to play in what the publishing giant is calling a “story extension”.
The game is being developed for Wii, DS and 3DS but the developer is currently unknown. We’re also yet to see a screenshot or trailer for the game, which is due to be released alongside the movie in the autumn of this year. Apparently, the game’s story takes place after the movie so we’ll avoid the spoilers.
It’s another chance to look at that movie trailer, though, right?

Activision publishing? Seems odd considering everything else Disney is in house and published by Disney. Considering how good the Cars 2 and Toy Story 3 games were it’s even stranger to change to an outside publisher.

Maybe they’re tied up with the two epic Mickey games coming? Or perhaps Activision payed them for the license? (Then they wouldn’t have to cover dev costs, and actually make money off it still)

I can’t wait for this film. Very good ideas and I’m suprised it hasn’t been done before now. Good to see eggman and bowser in the trailer as well

i wonder if the game will feature the cameos from other game characters like the movie does.
i’m guessing, not so much, there might be licensing issues.
