‘Live action’ is something of a misnomer for the new Assassin’s Creed III ‘Rise’ trailer as it actually features no action at all.
Instead we have a number of characters standing still whilst flames flicker in slow motion in the background and earnest voices say earnest things about the American Revolution.

I had no interest in this game after playing 1 and 2 but after seeing what they showed at E3 my interest has peaked.

Looks pretty lame if you ask. Can definitely see what they were going for, but it just comes across as a bit cheesy.

Personally I thought it was boring as fuck, and even though it’s historically accurate I thought the “ripping down the union flag” scene was very bad taste, especially now of all times when you can’t walk ten feet in London without seeing the flag thanks to the Jubilee and Olympics.

That was pretty meh IMO :/ Also, noticed that it says “PC format release dates to be confirmed” at the end of the video. I thought PC was also slated for Ocotber or has something changed and I missed it?

It was brilliant, but it wasn’t bad, at least they didn’t do a live action version of Connor. That would have looked cringy.
BalramRules
Connor looks pretty damn epic in this video, makes him look good. ;)
Hehe.

Pretty emotional trailer, I watched it and was thinking of “free syria” and forgot what game the trailer is about, very interesting and enlightening, thank you.

I forgot to add, the story could be awesome judging from the trailers so far.

not a bad ad actually, showing a little of the historical context in which the game is set.

I know the game is set during the American Revolution, but i thought the enemy of the Assassins were Templars. All the footage that has been shown of this game has been quite “anti-British”. Thats a good portion of Ubisofts market.
gaffers101
Not a lot in that really, maybe they’ll be further ‘live action’ trailers showing more from the characters shown in the video.
BritishBlue
Well that was cheesy…seriously, the jingoism surrounding the marketing of this game is starting to annoy me. I can’t stand patriotism in any form, I feel I’m going to have to rent this first since I refuse to buy a game that’s going to be one big flag-wank.
My favourite was the child refusing to “learn the history of a country I’ll never see”, it’s moronic on many different levels.
