‘Metroplex is unlike any other transformer, this guy is huge; Asura’s Wrath huge,’ I said in my preview of Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron and now you can see for yourselves in this brand new ‘Through the Matrix’ trailer.
The little spec of a robot in Metroplex’s hand is Optimus Prime, he transforms into a truck so that should give you an idea of the scale.
Optimus provides a rousing voice over for the video which features Grimlock take a chunk out of Shockwave and Bruticus stomping about.
You can read more about Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron in our hands on preview (written by someone other than myself) and later on this month read how the senior staff from TSA spent two weeks locked in a basement being tortured and terrorised.
Obviously those two features are in no way related, now off you toddle and watch the video I have some Decepticon shaped branding irons to heat up.
Update: Activision has let us know that the release date for Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron has slipped.
Panic not Fleshlings, the date has been moved a week forward and now launches here in the UK on August 24th.

Prime might want to rethink that “no, i order you” line after seeing just how small he is compared to the guy he’s ordering.

i don’t know how they’re going to integrate a bot that big into the gameplay, but i can’t wait to find out.
they keep upping the size like this, the next game has to feature Unicron.
but then they might not be able to use him if the rumours about the new film leading up to his appearance in that series.

i didn’t expect to see him in the next film, but i could see hints at his existence.
they’ve got to feature the ultimate big bad of the TF universe in the films at some point.
and i’d expect them to want to save the character for the movies.

He was meant to be the ultimate big bad for Transformers 6, but that was when 4,5 and 6 were being filmed back to back to save costs.
Now that plan has fallen through and 4 is effectively a small reboot, the plot arc has been dropped and 4 wil be a small self contained story. It will be a test run for the new human characters, if they do well they are going to be kept for 5,6 and 7.
Thankfully 4 really is going to be Bays last movie. Paramount cant give him anymore money than he gets and he’s only doing 4 as the agreed to finance Pain & Gain. Unless Bay can find some other project to bargain with, 4 is his last.
Now ask me what’s going to happen in Transfomers 10 :)

May I just raise my hand and say as a Transformers fan that is either rumour or poppycock Tuffcub :S I know your a big fan but I’ve seen it all the time when I was on TFW2005. Big fans have big opinions haha
