Rockstar yesterday announced the grand opening of its “Cheater Pool” across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Previously outlined in an earlier post, this latest update allows the Max Payne 3 team to manipulate matchmaking parameters for anyone caught cheating/hacking the online multiplayer.
Whether caught by Rockstar themselves, or grassed-on by fellow players, cheaters are tagged and then thrown into an arena with their own kind. It sounds like a great system for two reasons; not only does it keep regular players happy, but the Cheater Pool could be an insane playground for those who experiment with hacks/cheats.
