Amazing Renders Of The New PS3 CECH-4000

The leaked images of the new CECH-4000 slimmer PS3 weren’t clear – if they were real at all – but most looked at them and thought they were a bit ugly.

However, these Photoshop renders, by NeoGAF member MYE, make it look infinitely better, see:

Even that slightly bizarre top sliding disk thing looks lovely in these images.

    Until we see official images there’s not a lot of point in all this is there?

    • I cant let it go, I’m enraged by Sony’s stupidity at wasting time changing wording just for it to still not make sense. In fact it made more sense before. Time could’ve been better spent on other things.

  2. Anything that has a sliding door looks cool.

    • My dad’s old milk-float had sliding doors and that was pig-ugly :)

    • Pfft. Gull wing, scissor and butterfly doors are all LOADS cooler.

  5. Sliding doors rule! The A-Team Van had a sliding door – enough said! Does make me laugh there are so many talented designers out there that will no doubt produce much better looking hardware designs then anything Sony / MS come up with.

  6. The only thing I don’t like about it is the way the sliding door pokes just above the rest of the curve in the second shot. Other than that it looks nice…

  8. I love the design of this. I hope if it is the actual one they make the part of the sliding door that covers the disk opaque, though.

  9. Looks cool in those Pics :P But the bottom looks the same as the PS3 now & the Top looks longer(the right bit)? If so, then it will be longer than the PS3 slim we got now? I am confused :D
    Anyway just bring it out ‘ASAP’ SONY at a really good ‘LOW’ price & we can see ‘if’ this Gen is dead LoL:D

      New games from the KillZone guys the inFAMOUS guys GT5 guys(GT6?) the WipeOut guys the LBP guys…YEAH this Gen is DEAD…NOT for the PS3 it isn’t :P
