Get Battlefield 4 Beta Access With Warfighter $70 Edition

Apparently if you go to Origin on a PC, select Genre and then Shooter, you get the above. As far as I know this is the first time Battlefield 4 has been mentioned.

Seems like an utterly bizarre way to announce your new game, but who am I to decide what works best for EA? Looks like you’ll need to buy the Digital Deluxe version too, at $70.

Oh, and if you’ve not checked the site in the last few hours, you might want to see this.

Update: EA have said that if it isn’t on Battlefield.com, it’s not official. The banner on Origin has also been removed and swapped out.

  1. I can’t wait for BF4 to come out so that EA can withdraw the offical servers within 6-8 months, forcing you to use rented servers with power mad admins who will ban you if you dare to actually play the game the way it is supposed to be played. Oh and the massive patches from day 1.

Why not BF:BC3? There is still a fanbase for it and it would sell loads. Unless you implent some of the bullcrap from BF3 into it’s online MP.

I doubt many people will buy it just for the beta as we all remeber what happened with BF3’s beta being “exclusive to those who buy MOH”.

    • It never said exclusive, only access.

    • I actually prefer the tracer darts for missile lock on to the rockets coming with their own lock on feature. the way BFBC was doing it, same with having to repair manually rather than the disable stuff and all the other little gadgets, like the predator missile from BFBC1.

  2. Time to go to the fridge and grab meself a beer

  3. BFBC 3 all the way. Consoles need maps design to handle its limitations (12v12) and not have maps ported from PC. Imagine how Armored Kill is going to be…on the “biggest map in BF history”… with 12v12 yaaaaaay. That’s gonna be a snooze fest.
