Telltale Games has officially announced that the first episode of The Walking Dead game series will launch on July 26th for iOS devices at a price of $4.99.
The game’s interface has been adapted for touch screen devices, and players will have full control of  protagonist Lee, “as investigation points, actions, dialogue and decision making flows onscreen and is seamlessly integrated with the environments,” states the Telltale blog.
The devices the game will be compatible with are the iPad 2, new iPad, iPhone 4 & 4S and the iPod Touch 4th gen onwards. The 2nd episode, “Starved For Help”, is still being adapted for iOS and a release date for that is yet to be announced. Telltale also announced that Episodes 2 to 5 will be available to order for $14.99.

Would never play this on my iPhone…I tried the Sam&Max trial and the screen is just too small for it. Wish I had an iPad for these types of games.

It amazes me how fast older Apple devices aren’t supported anymore.
My ipad when I got it was fast and zippy but now it feels slow.
I guess the ios udates “improve it” :) improve in making it feel sluggish so you haveto upgrade.

i could not imagine playing this on something the size of an iphone/touch.
i’ve played a few point and click style games on my touch, and the screen is just too damn small, it’s hard to be precise enough on a screen that small.
i’d imagine it’d be pretty good on a tablet though.
