Retro/Grade Lands On PSN Next Month, Exclusive To PS3

Backwards rhythm-action shoot-em-up Retro/Grade will land on PS3 (via the PSN Store) on the 22nd of August, exclusive to the platform.

“At the beginning of the game you stop a massive alien invasion,” explains Matt Gilgenbach, Co-founder, 24 Caret Games, “but all the destruction damages the space/time continuum, causing the flow of time itself to reverse.”

“What would have been the final boss is actually the beginning of your backwards journey. You must help Rick Rocket restore the continuity of space/time, before the temporal anomaly rips the universe a new time-hole!”

The game’s even controllable with a guitar!

    Rick Rocket… lol.

  3. I just want a decent side scrolling shooter, is that too much to ask?

    • Have you played the Soldner-X games TC? The second one is a bit easier than the first, but that’s mainly because the first is bloody hard.

  4. Looks great. I’m liking the soundtrack too

  5. That’s a quirky take on rhythm and shooter games, not sure if it’s for me but it looks like an original attempt.

  6. If I’m not mistaken, this will be a free game for EU Plus members.

  7. That’s so weird, but pretty cool in the process.

  8. Cool concept but not loving the soundtrack at all.
