Sony Open to PS3 / PS Vita Bundles

Don’t own a PS3 and a PS Vita? Well, you may be in luck this Christmas.

PlayStation UK’s managing director, Fergal Gara, said that the company would “have nothing against [the idea of a bundle deal] whatsoever” and that “it’s not out of the question that we would do that this Christmas if we wanted to.”

“We put together packages for retail, and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t create a ‘Vita plus PS3’ bundle, which could feature games that use cross-play, as well as include a PlayStation Plus subscription that both devices could use,” he added.

With the announcement that the PS3 will be supported until at least 2015 and new Vita titles on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to join in.

  1. Back to £425!? :)

  2. If the resulting bundle gave a decent discount on the Vita, I could see that working, and might give the size of the user-base a decent shot in the arm, and just maybe mean some more games being developed for the system.

Sadly, I doubt Sony are that savvy…

  3. Price will determine the success here. The new PS3 might allow for a deeper discount?

  4. Bundles strike me as fairly cheap to fabricate so why not. Sure, only the clinically insane will buy them but fill your boots. :)

  5. All in for £300 will sell loads.

  6. “Could do” but “probably can’t be bothered with this great idea”

    • Oh you’ve seen the future already? How nice.
