Crysis 2 Announced As Your First November PlayStation Plus Game

PlayStation Plus continues to deliver, and we’re happy to say the first of next month’s included titles is the EA published Crysis 2.

Although it took a little while to get going, Crysis 2 turned into a really great first person shooter with a slightly different approach and look to it than a lot of others around at the time. It was the first game we featured in our WeView series where you tell us what you think of a certain game each week and in the official TSA review, it scored a solid 8/10.

The blog post also indicates that there will be more details of the Vita content coming to PlayStation Plus very soon.

PlayStation Plus provides what Sony call an Instant Game Collection – lots of games that’re included in the cost of the subscription, which can be monthly, every three months or annually. The games are rotated every few weeks, so make sure if there’s something you like the look of, you start the download process before it rotates out of the promotion again.

  1. Bought this twice now. First time, cos I did. Didn’t like it. Second time, cheap for the 3D support. Didn’t like it. Will I pick it up for free? …Course I will.

(probably wont like it tho) :-)

  2. Good for those with P+ who haven’t played it, I bought this game and was a little disappointed to be honest.

  3. I traded it in recently for some credit off Dishonored but i hadn’t finished it so this is good timing.

  4. Still need to play Starhawk,Borderlands and Resident Evil 5 :/.

  5. Oooohhhh perhaps the biggest TSA Meet?
I played this quite a few times with TSA (5/6) was a blast. Now have a great excuse to go back on it and host the weekly meets again

  6. Good thing I stopped buying games other than one or two I like a a year.

  7. Really enjoyed it, may well download it even though I’ve still got a million ps+ games to get through.

  8. What’s the benefit of PS+ over, say, a LoveFilm subscription? Surely with a LoveFilm subscription you can borrow whatever games you want, whenever you want, and you don’t have to fill up your HDD? I know PS+ has cloud storage for saves, but is that it?

    • PSN games- a lot of games we get aren’t available on disc. These are generally the best from PS+ as most of us haven’t gotten round to playing them (they’re generally newer).

Avatars, themes and DLC are also routinely added to PS+.

Also, great discounts, exclusive early access to things like betas or even games- The Unfinished Swan being an example.

Then there’s stuff like Cloud Storage, automatic downloads and more too.

  9. Aw man I just bought this last month!
Really solid shooter though. Sure it lacks an element of fun until the final third but the graphics, atmosphere and tense action make it more than worth a free download.

  10. Might be worth remembering for those thinking of finishing Crysis 2’s sp game with this is that the save probably wont work. It hasn’t so far on any digital version of a disc game, different format for the save files apparently?
