The PS Vita will be getting an update to version 2.00 of the system software very soon, Sony have said to TheSixthAxis today. And with it, PlayStation Plus – the service that’s already seen an impressive array of discounts, additional features and free games on the PlayStation 3.
Plus for Vita goes live on the 21st of November in the UK, and will be available to existing PS3 subscribers at no additional cost. It’ll come with its own Instant Game Collection, which will include the likes of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush and Chronovolt, the latter of which is a brand new title which is great news for Vita owners.
Four games per month will be featured, Sony tell us, along with free play, exclusive discounts and online storage. Sony are promising 14 games and at least five new games a month, which means over 65 games a year for PS3 and PS Vita.
We’re also assuming that Trophy updates will be automatic, like they are with the PS3, but we’ll need to check and confirm that.

Yeah not sure its fair to complain about the disparity between us and Europe offerings. Sometimes ours are better and sometimes yours are better. Still bitter you got all the fallout 3 dlc for free. ;)

This is a pretty good deal, should encourage some more vita sales. I Got all of these except Chronvolt. Seems like they’re finally updating the terrible browser too judging from this video at 3 mins.

Just got my new vita today and I didn’t buy any of those games so this news is most welcome and amazing.I’ve had it 6 hrs and not stopped staring at it (honestly) not even touched a game yet.Awesome bit of kit,as the kids say.

This is great news. Can’t believe three great games added at once. Defo need a bigger memory card as I already have too many games to fit on my 8gb as it is! Why do I keep buying new stuff off the store. With plus I don’t have enough time as it is!

I am not a Vita owner but with these news I will probably be one. But I hope that this extra PS+ content for Vita will not decrease the goodies that come each month for PS3…

Just had to go through the painfully process of investing in a new memory card to upgrade the size. Damn you Sony for your added value to an already good PS Plus deal!
