GTA V – Second Trailer Released

Has it really been a whole year since we first saw GTA V in motion? Well, after numerous drawn-out teases and outlet-exclusive features, the thing we’ve all really been interested in is out, finally.

Witness, if you will, Rockstar’s second trailer for what will probably end up being next year’s biggest game by a mile, and then let us know what you think in the comments, as usual.

Enjoy, and we’ll be back with our full thoughts later. Naturally, like most outlets, we’re posting this blind assuming it won’t just be an elaborate troll, and feature nothing but a crooning Rick Astley.

  1. love it!!!!

  2. LMAO, i cant believe how easily people get suckered in by these trailers saying how good it looks etc. Its all pre-rendered cut scene footage. No way the in game is going to be anything like that. Plus its all on PC footage probably using a £5000 machine.

How quickly people forget how good the GTA4 trailers looked, and then when the game got released it was not graphically that good on console.

    • true, thats life.

    • I thought 4 was relatively good looking on consoles given the scale of the game

    • Graphics are not the be-all & end-all – Wouldn’t matter if they were rendered on a PS2 as far as i am concerned.

Personally, i am excited for the fact that it is another GTA & the rubbishy friend stuff from IV will not be there. That’s enough for me!

      • Absolutely, graphics really don’t bother me a huge deal. If they did I’d have a decent PC.

      • “Absolutely, graphics really don’t bother me a huge deal. If they did I’d have a decent PC.”

Same for me, pubescent the last bit, even if they did mattered I couldn’t afford one :P

      • *except (that was a really strange correction)

      • That was an AWESOME correction. Made no sense of course, but at least made me chuckle! :D

      • They don’t cost much, Digital Foundry built one with 4 times the basic power of the PS360 for £300.

And just upgrading 1 or 2 of those components because they were compromised to come in under £300 would see you have a great system for under £400

        It’s a myth that you must spend £1,500 on a gaming rig…

    • 4 was my favourite game this gen so fine with me if it looks the same.

    • i doubt that’s prerendered, high end pc, sure, but real time all the same.

    • When most of us are saying how wonderful it looks we mean as a game, not as a graphical tour de force.

  3. I actually think this is a great trailier, shows a lot of stuff. *Sold.

  4. SOLD! Boats, planes, helicopters, motorbikes, cars… Yes please.

  5. Niiiiiiice.
    Can’t wait till Spring 2013.

  6. I was “bouncing” the whole 1.51 secs.
    Can’t wait to jump on a dirtbike(+ a bmx please R*) & explore.

(Not big on cutscene/dialogue/plot/spoilers, but resistance is hard to muster, where an anticipated title of mine is concerned.)

  7. just creamed my pants :D

    • True dat!
      When we said get a grip………erm :P

  8. Looks interesting and i wonder if crashing trains is part of the gameplay or a scripted sequence? Am hoping it’s part of the gameplay. Suspect we will end up liking the 3 leads more then we did with Niko. That said, Niko’s story was a bit depressing so hopefully, and it looks like it, GTA5’s main story will be upbeat as well as having more humour this time around. But it shows no gameplay. Am hoping they will take what they learnt with GTA4 and RDR as well as what Team Bondi did with LA Noire and use elements from those games. And that trailer was made using PS3 footage!? *Rewatches trailer* :O Does this mean Rockstar are using the PS3 as their lead platform and will port it over to the 360?

    • I really hope it doesn’t use anything from LA Noire if i am honest – It wasn’t a terrible game, but it was pretty dull & i wouldn’t say any of those game mechanics would be a good fit for a GTA game.

But you are right in saying that they do definitely need a more upbeat feel to it & their humour is always welcomed. If they can just capture the ‘feel’ of Vice City again, it’ll be a smash.

Who am i kidding, it’ll be a smash anyway – I’ll enjoy it more though! :)

      • And of course, sex jokes and general pisstaking of anything and everthing. :)

  9. It’s looking very promising, and hopefully it’ll have the replayability of Vice. The ingredients are all there, just hope it doesn’t get overcooked ;)

  10. Looks good.
