The first game from Double Eleven’s new publishing venture, D11 Games, has been announced. It’s a PS3 and PS Vita version of PC title Frozen Synapse, called Frozen Synapse: Tactics. The original PC version has sold over 430,000 copies and scored really well critically.
“Frozen Synapse for us represents some of the best work coming out of the UK and onto the PC. We know there’s also a great console game in there as well waiting to be realised.” said Mark South, COO for Double Eleven. South claims that “Frozen Synapse: Tactics is not simply a transition of the original onto console” and promises to give the game a “complete Double Eleven makeover.”

Mode 7’s Paul Taylor said that the original “proved that turn-based strategy doesn’t have to be about people with misguided beards prodding tanks into lonely hexagons,” whilst Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, said Sony have a “fantastic relationship with Double Eleven” and are behind their publishing ventures.
Double Eleven previously worked on the wonderful LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.

Brilliant.
Frozen Synapse is a great game on PC.
Look forward to it on Vita.

D11’s move is interesting, sounds as though we could get more PC indie games or anything else where the devs are looking to expand their range on a game.

Wonderful. Didn’t invest enough time by half on this, but the little I played was ace.

A definite buy for me, I’m glad Vita is getting smart games like this and it’s great to see more and more turn-based titles on consoles. Now if only Intelligent Systems could remember they also have the Advance Wars franchise…

It is a tactical remake right? So it won’t really play like in the video above? Damn I hope the mechanics are similar.
