Big PSN Sale Starts For “Lost Treasures” On The Service

Got a PS3? Connected to the PSN? Enjoy plenty of those lovely downloadables that pop up on the Store most Wednesdays? I bet you’ve missed something though, I bet we’ve all got a couple of PSN games that we failed to pick up when they were release and they subsequently slipped by us, under a mountain of fresh releases.

Well, now’s your chance to pick up some of those “Lost Treasures” – the PSN is having a big sale.

The Vita will see price reductions on just two titles, hardly a huge number but that’s probably to be expected given the length of time games for that device have been being published on the PSN. Those two games are Smart As, which drops from €24.99/£19.99 down to €12.49/£8.99 and Sound Shapes, which falls in price from 12.99/£9.99 to €6.49/£5.19.

The PS3, though, has been seeing PSN releases for much longer and that means a much bigger list of potentially missed delights. Here’s the full, rather long list, below. I think the standout picks on this are From Dust for £5.99 and Stranger’s Wrath HD for £5.19.

  • After Burner Climax – Was €7.99/£6.49, now €3.99/£3.19

  1. Heh, some old games in there – giggling at the still fun Super Rub a Dub.

Anything less than a pint: get it. That includes the kooky datura.

    • This is my way of thinking. Games are worth a purchase and a dabble for that price.

    • Here in Norway, that’s not much of a limit.

    • Super Rub a Dub is definitely worth two quid, buy it peeps!

      • Shame it never got patched for trophies. :(

  2. When is the Sale starting & ending?

    • oops, updated to include this info.

Today until May 8th, basically :)

  3. Seeing After Burner just reminded me I used to have OutRun on my old PS3 what died. Best I download that again this weekend. :)

    • I’m pretty sure that’s been removed from psn.

      • It has but you can access it from your download list… I did two weeks back!

      • Download list it is… good man!

  4. I want LocoRoco and Clash of Heroes!

    • Clash of Heroes is an absolute bargain at that price, everyone should buy it. In fact, it’s such a bargain I almost wish I could buy it again.

Siren Blood Curse is always worth a purchase.

I may buy Trine, purely as I’ve finished Trine 2.

      • Got to agree , Clash of Heroes is a phenomenal game and the pick of this bunch , played it to death on my old DS and might pick it up for PS3 at that price.

  5. Super Rub a Dub was brilliant. Probably the best implementation of the Sixaxis motion controls.

  6. Might finally buy super rub a dub. It’s probably my earliest memory from getting my PS3.

  7. Definitely Sound Shapes for me; slowly amassing a collection of Vita games that have gone on sale and on Plus…now I just need a price drop for the console and I’ll be all over it.

    • I bought Sound Shapes just a few days ago… :| Great, fun game, but damn I can’t believe I just missed out on the price reduction :(

  8. Tempted with BttF

  9. Most of the good stuff I’ve already got, and most of that was Playstation Plus. Might get Tony Hawks for £6. Especially when I got a £25 voucher for £20, that means the real monetary value of Tony Hawks is only £4.80.

Apparently I’ve spent so long revising economics that I’m now talking about it all the time…

    • The Fact that I understood this perfectly and then proceeded to do the calculations to make sure you were right, shows me im revising to had as well :(

    • If you haven’t already got tony hawk, you haven’t already got most of the good stuff! ;)

  10. Sound shaped is a good bargain. But considering vita has been around for a good 14 months with many retail games cheaper than psn, I think I’ll be yet another one who groans about this sale. Meh. Done.
