Following yesterday’s news that the release of Deadly Premonition from the European PSN Store had been delayed, with pre-orders charged in full, the game has again slipped. The PSN Store now indicates that the game will be released next week.
The reason for the PSN Store delays is unknown, but is frustrating for those waiting.
Over the last few days it emerged that pre-order payments were taken in full, despite the game slipping from its original release date of last week. The game has already appeared on store shelves (since the 26th of April) and can be found online for around £25.
Anyone looking for a refund should call Sony’s Customer Services number.
SCEE have also issued details on how to access the Soul Sacrifice pre-order content, as that seemed to have confused people yesterday.

I didn’t pre-order, but this will serve as a warning to not pre-order in the future. As a digital release, this should only be charged on the day it becomes available, not a week before.

I can’t see the point in pre-ordering digital releases. It’s not as if they are going to sell out.

I preordered soul sacrifice so I would have it the day of release and not have to wait for delivery. As a game i intend to play a lot digital will be great to always have with me. It was well priced too and included some bonus DLC.

It only dawned on me a short while after that I had pre-ordered a game (Soul Sacrifice) on PS EU store. Hopefully SS will defo unlock when I play it today.

just like it was scheduled for this week?
i’ll believe it when i see it.

A similar thing happened to Ni No Kuni preorders. Its sonys failure to get simple things like this right that makes me wonder how they’ll manage with the ps4’s various network features.
