We’re not saying this is real because let’s face it, it probably isn’t – it only shows the console itself for a couple of seconds at most (which might make sense in context at an E3 conference) and it doesn’t really look like something Sony would slot into the middle of their conference, as we’d expect them to do with the console reveal.
So, if it is real – and we have no evidence of that – then it could be the video that kicks off Sony’s E3 conference in little under a month’s time. Still, it’s a nicely done video and, even if fake, the console itself looks quite good with that futuristic lightning streak across the front.
Take a look at the video below if you’d like a glimpse of either what the PS4 really looks like or a very good hoax.
Update: It’s a fake – as pointed out on NeoGAF, PlayStation symbols are in the wrong order and out of shape, as well as the wrong Dolby logos on the console itself. Still, it’s a well made fake.

The style of the ad is superb. Still, looking forward to see the new beastie when Sony are ready to let us cast our pre-moistened peepers on it.

It’s cute. The box is ugly as sin, but I like the idea of the trailer. Looks like someone’s trying to get a job.

Saw the video earlier today and thought there was a good chance it was fake, it didn’t look like it was something designed by Sony.

It’s a Hitman sniper rifle briefcase, and it does everything!! {:-o

Cracking ad by the way, nicely executed!

There is always the possibility (a slim one I admit) that Sony have had this made to look just amateur enough so that they can deny it, but at the same time they continue generate a lot of buzz and momentum towards E3. Who knows what their new marketing team may have dreamt up or how far they will go to promote PS4?

Yup, gets people talking about PS4 again a week away from Microsoft’s conference. Sony are being really selective with marketing just now for the console (just GameInformer in the US oddly) but this may well be the start of something.

I actually like the look of that, what a shame.

Looks like Amateur Allure.
