Ninja Theory Announces Their New Mobile Game: Fightback

Ninja Theory, the developers behind Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Devil May Cry, have announced a new free-to-play mobile brawler called Fightback.

The game, labeled as a side scrolling action game, will resemble an 80’s action packed movie and will feature touch based combat controls.

Dominic Matthews, product manager at Ninja Theory said “mobile and tablet gaming is a phenomenon that we just couldn’t ignore as a studio and we’re very proud to be working with one of the industry’s heavy-weights on bringing Fightback to market.

“Ninja Theory has always strived for the highest production values and that absolutely remains the case in this exciting new space.”

Personally, I find it shame that they’re not working on a console game or, more specifically, a follow up to Enslaved. Maybe once this is out of the way they’ll do Heavenly Sword 2 for the PlayStation 4, too.

Fightback will be out this summer.

  1. “Personally, I find it shame that their not working on a console game” not being grammar nazi, just a heads up ;)

    • They’re (they are) not their possessive, grammar is fine ;)

      • Now it is, yes :) my comment was from last night ;)

  2. i like the look of it, but i don’t like the sound of touch based combat controls.

to me that implies swiping around the screen rather than virtual buttons.

i’ve played a few of these swipe combat games, and i didn’t like them.

  3. Heavenly Sword had some awesome fighting, shame they haven’t used the IP for this. It would serve as a nice appetiser if they were ever to do a HS sequel.
