GAME & Insert Coin Offering Assassin’s Creed 4 Launch Day Booty

Customers who pre-order and purchase Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed release, Black Flag, at selected GAME stores are to receive a rather special freebie on launch day.

The once-troubled high street retailer are teaming up with the creative minds at Insert Coin Clothing to offer an exclusive AC IV branded hoodie to day-one swashbucklers.

For those not in the know, Insert Coin – who recently provided GAME staff nationwide with swanky new uniforms – already sell a wide range of video game related merchandise, including an extremely desirable selection of Assassin’s Creed garments, such as hooded tops and dressing gowns via their website.

It appears a visit to one of eight GAME “Lock In” after-hours events later this week is going the only way to get your hands on their latest design though, and numbers are likely to be strictly limited.

On Thursday, August 1st, Ubisoft reps will be in store at the Bolton, Walsall, Camden and St Austell branches of GAME, and on Friday 2nd, it’ll be the turn of gamers in Liverpool, Northfield, Norwich and Portsmouth to try their hand at the seafaring stealth-em-up.

As if that’s not enough, those in attendance on the night will also get to play the stunning Watch_Dogs, and selected stores will have a PS4 controller on display, although an earlier mentioned “hands on” has since been cancelled. Which system the aforementioned titles will be shown on is as yet unknown.

For full details about the offer, please contact your GAME store of choice.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U this coming November 1st, with PC and next-generation releases to follow accordingly.

  1. Not a bad promotion, there’ll be a few happy folk come release day.

  2. Would have definitely taken advantage of this, but I can’t make night it’s being held. Shame!

  3. Never been to one of these games marketing shindigs before. The closest I’ve been to one is when I went with the lads to a video signing by a ‘Sunday Sport Stunner’ at our local ‘private shop’. And no, we didn’t get any ‘hands on’ time.

  4. Ooo! I live close to one of those! Might pop in and see what’s going on…

  5. Nice to see Game have turned a corner and seem to be going well nowadays.

  6. In other news, if you live in north east England, as per usual you are out of luck. I bet there are other areas too, they haven’t spaced the 8 stores out that evenly.

  7. Adam!
