Has nVidia Just Confirmed GTA V For PC This Autumn?

nVidia has been speaking about their recent earnings and the future of their business in relation to the next wave of games. During this earnings call games such as Assassin’s Creed IV and CoD: Ghosts were talked about in relation to games that people will be upgrading their PCs for this Autumn.

nVidia aren’t involved with the next generation of consoles so the mention of GTA V has to be in reference to the PC version. It will exist because every other one has released on the platform, but their still hasn’t been acknowledgment by Rockstar.

However , such a quick release on PC soon in the same window as consoles is unexpected since ports take a while. This could be confirmed by Rockstar at Gamescom next week, or possibly this Thursday when the multiplayer will be detailed.

Grand Theft Auto V already looks fantastic but a PC version with mod support, releasing around the same time as console versions? Could you imagine the possibilities?

  1. Good to hear :)
I knew it would be releases eventually, an official confirmation would be nice now!

  2. This has to happen. GTA4 has such a rich mod scene and some truly amazing projects. Will definitely be waiting for PC version… Im still waiting to play Red Dead Redemption :-S

  3. If this is true then maybe they have PS4 & XB1 in development too?

    • Agreed completely. It makes more sense than ever to announce next gen versions if they’re bringing out a PC version with top-notch graphical assets for all.

I was just about to pre-order GTA V for the PS3 but now I want to wait and see what happens. Bugger.

      • Same here. I would have pre-ordered this months ago but I’m waiting for next gen. Hope it’s not too long a wait.

  4. More than likely, but I doubt we’ll here anything official, until after Sep 17th, to help with current console game sales.

  5. Cancelled my PS3 pre-order, I may as well hang on a couple of months to see if there’s an announcement or if not the price should have dropped by then for the console versions.
