LittleBigPlanet Hub Announced – Free To Play With Your Sackboy

Sony has just pumped some bassy electronic music into an auditorium in Cologne. After their little pumpin’ dance party, they decided to have a bit of a chat about videogames. GT6 went first, without much new to talk about.

Next up, though was LittleBigPlanet Hub, a free-to-play version of Sony’s iconic creative platformer that’s coming to PlayStation 3 later this year. No doubt it’ll be packed with little bits and pieces to purchase but don’t begrudge them that – Stephen Fry has to get paid for his delightful voice overs.

Given the volume and scope of additional content for LBP games, it seems a perfect match for the free-to-play model but hopefully this won’t be the end of Sackboy’s traditional outings.

  1. That’s great. They should have done this to start with.

  2. I wasn’t sure at first but this sounds great actually.

  3. Not sold on this just yet. There wasn’t anything greatly interesting about it…. New levels? New creation tools? NEED MORE INFO :(
The whole trailer was well presented though.
And no media molecule name attached so guessing its sumo digital or whoever was rumoured to be developing the next LBP.
