Sony have just done an array of quickfire announcements of indie titles at their Gamescom showing, which will be coming to PS4 and Vita in the future. First of all, the renowned platformer Fez is heading to both systems, but will be followed with a slew of new titles.

These include FuturLab’s Velocity 2X (we’ll have more on that later); Â a remake of The Binding of Isaac titled Rebirth; as well as a new title named Murasaki Baby, which is an “emotional, tacticle experience” that heavily features the touch controls of the PlayStation Vita.
Another intriguing title is BigFest, which is a free to play festival simulator that allows you to promote real-life upcoming bands as you create your own musical festivals.
This was followed by a nice video showing all of the indie developers talking up the Vita.
Shahid Ahmad soon stepped on stage to announce more indie titles, including Rogue Legacy and N++ for December, Guns of Icarus, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, all of which will be console exclusives on PS4 and Vita. He also confirmed that the Binding of Isaac remake would be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Love the sketchy styling of Murasaki Baby, hope to see some footage of the others later.

So dissapointed in the VITA announcements at gamescon. No great console like titles announced, yet again it is all about indies. They mentioned Indie more than MS mentioned TV at their release conference. I didnt buy my VITA for indie games, i want full blown titles on the handheld. Why did Murasaki baby get such a big applause?

Eh?
Thought it was immense, couldn’t have gone better. Never has a console had such varied genres, so great graphics on show… & Murasaki Baby looked fantastic, similar in some ways to one of the games of the generation, Limbo.

Indie titles are console titles, and have been ever since the PSN & Live became reliable enough to sell games on.
Time to move with the times.

Really thought the future looks good for vita agree Murasaki Baby looked rather nice and Bigfest,i’ve enjoyed the indie games on my vita more than the so called big titles.

But sony promised full PS3 like titles for Vita, thats what i bought the vita for in the first place, i dont care for indie titles at all so why should i move with times. Whats the point of the vita having all that power if its only going to be used to indie games.

Thought Bigfest looked great, kinda like Zoo tycoon but with music festivals and actual real bands
Velocity is a fantastic game, can’t wait for 2X, then there’s Fez, Volume & soooooooo many more it’s too hard to keep up.

I felt there was missing some bigger first party titles for the Vita, no mention of Freedom Wars even. The smaller titles looked sweet, but there was no big retail system seller akin to Killzone and Tearaway.
The same could actually be said about ps4,all the new titles seemed to be digital only.

Exactly what im saying, Vita has more than enough indie stuff, its going to get as bad as the google store with all the indie tat coming to the console. No sign of any full console games at the conference at all.
