Microsoft is rebranding its Xbox Live Marketplace as the Xbox Games Store ahead of the launch of its new console, it has been revealed.
The original Xbox Live Marketplace was an increasingly cluttered general purpose one-stop-shop for 360 users, offering not only games, but video, music, and other content too. The majority of that’s now been separated out into their more natural homes, however, with the new Xbox Games Store set to line up beside the existing Xbox Video and Music Stores.
The same distinction was made about a year ago for Windows Phone, when that platform dropped its own Marketplace moniker in favour of the more simple “store” suffix.

Never used Marketplace for years but even then it wasn’t so easy to find what I was looking for.
