October’s PS+ Revealed, Includes Far Cry 3

Sony have been in touch to let us know next month’s PS+ games for Europe and as usual there are some corkers.

October’s big game is Far Cry 3, one of our favourite games from last year, and joining it will be a reboot of an Amiga classic, namely Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.

The third title will be Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, in which you will delve into the depths of the mysterious Bitterblack Isle, where a dark labyrinth lies deep beneath its surface, haunted by the many voices of the Arisen and deadly secrets waiting to be uncovered. Ooh, spooky!

PlayStation Vita owner will be clearing space on their memory cards for Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch my Katamari.

  1. Dragon Dogma Dark Arisen-I bought this a while a go when released and have clocked over 80+ hours on it, a sleeper hit for me love it.
    Far Cry 3 speaks for itself a really awesome title with rave reviews.
    Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams-the only one I don’t have but it is supposed to be ace, just like the old Amiga version.

    Street Fighter X Tekken and Touch my Katamari. I have stopped buying vita titles all together now because of PlayStation + so looking forward to both if i can make enough space on my memory cards.
    I must say this is a really the best service money can buy and when they hit the PS4 titles as well that is another 2 titles a month.
    I do expect the price to go up at some point I just hope not too much as to keep playing all the previous titles we will still have to keep subscribing.
    Well done SONY once again you have given us what we all want and a catchy business strategy that leaves subscribers hooked.

  2. Far cry 3 was grassy shame I already platted it. Just find a co-op buddy for it. Never played the rest though.

  3. Best PS+ month in a long time. Just because I’ve actually not got any of them.

    Well, except Dragon’s Dogma. Which I enjoyed a lot. And now I can play the extra content they forgot to release as standalone DLC, which was an idiotic idea.

    Far Cry 3 looks quite nice, I guess. And we haven’t had a FPS since the August update.

    Giana Sisters looked quite gorgeous in the demo, but got a bit frustrating. Maybe I’m just crap at it?

    Street Fighter X Tekken just looks wrong. And will use up 2.1 gig of precious memory card space, so I won’t be rushing to install that.

    Not when there’s a Katamari to touch. Does it have THAT annoying tune that will end up stuck in my head for weeks?

    Oh, arse. It’s in there already.

    Now I just need to make 19.5gig of space on the PS3. (Except there’s that thing where you need twice as much space to install something, so the minimum required is 23 gig and some planning in advance)

    • Actually, it’s 24.1gig you need to install all 3 of the PS3 offerings. If you download and install them 1 at a time, starting with the biggest.

    • I wouldn’t trust the PSN screenshots of Street Fighter X Tekken as I already have the game and it looks much better than the posted images.

  4. Finally got round playing FC3 right now, and it’s the first time PS+ hits me with something I’ve only recently bought. Love the game, so it’s good they offer it, but is a shame I didn’t wait a little longer. Is okay for me, but hope that’s not too often the case in the future.

  5. Is Dark Risen, the full Dragons Dogma plus extra stuff?

    • It is to answer my own question after a quick google. GTA V Just arrived so couldn’t be bothered looking myself…until I saw the install file size.

    • Yes it is and if you have played the original dragons dogma you’ll get some nice little extras as well.

    That’s another strong batch of games.

  7. Already have SFxT on the Vita and at 2.1GB for the download, I don’t think I’ll be selling my copy. It’ll be nice to hop on to multiplayer with loads of other newcomers though.

    Overall not bad. But if this is October’s line up, the next one or two plus updates should contain the Vita’s annual rotation which will be interesting.

    • I’m not sure there are many more full releases for them to include.

  9. I’d already decided to trade my FC3 as part of the GameStop GTA trade-in so perfect timing. Will be nice to have access to the game still.

    Not got any of the other titles so some nice new content for me to play, probably around 2015 now!

  10. Thats a billiant line up for me. Won’t have time to play any of them, but hey at least they’ll be in the download queue.
