Amazon UK Launches PSN Storefront

Amazon have finally brought their PSN storefront to the UK, after it launched on their United States branch of Amazon one month ago. That means you’ll be able to buy PSN codes directly through Amazon.

What it also means is that – hopefully – you’ll be paying less than the prices you see on PSN, with Amazon discounting some games down the line.

It’s quite limited at the moment and there doesn’t appear to be any deals, but the launch of the US store saw discounts on games such as Sly Cooper and even Madden 25.

It also might be a good way of getting some late Christmas presents without the hassle of shipping them. So, if you’re like me and you leave your shopping to the last minute, then this could be great.

Update: Here’s the link to the current – rather sparse – store. Hopefully this will evolve into something much more similar to the recent US Amazon PSN Storefront, which offered some substantial discounts.

  1. Great. UK addresses only so as usual Ireland is screwed since we don’t have our own Amazon.

    • In the voice of Nelson “Ha Ha”.

Is there no way around this. I would assume they would be emailing you a code and not actually send anything by address. Could you not put someone else address who you know of in UK?

      • Possibly. I see no reason to restrict anything other than the money ones. Buying stealth inc shouldn’t matter where I live in europe. Buying £25 card however does.

      • I’ve noticed amazon.de allow Germany and Austria.

    • Well I can use my UK card on Amazon.com by setting my address as a fake location in Alaska, so I guess the same should work for this.

  2. This is such good news. Now I can use my Canadian credit card to buy stuff from the EU Store :)

  3. When you can go to CD Keys and buy £35 PSN credit for about £28 then Amazon need to do some more work.

    • Yeah, this is what I normally do. Then only buy stuff when its on sale with the extra PS+ reduction. Just how cheapskate am I! ;)
