Super Smash Bros. 4 Not Launching Next Spring

Super Smash Bros. director, Masahiro Sakurai, has quashed rumours that the next game in Nintendo’s cross-over series will launch next Spring.

Sakurai has taken to Twitter, debunking the rumour. It originally came from an interview with Nintendo Germany in which the company purportedly dropped a launch window for both Smash Bros. 4 and Mario Kart 8.

Super Smash Bros. 4 has been in development since 2012, already boasting a diverse roster of 18 characters. It is expected to launch at some point this next year for both the Wii U and 3DS.

    Next year, surely.

  2. Games are looking good so far for WiiU next year, this is a very anticipated title though along with Mario Kart 8. Can’t wait to get my hands on Donkey Kong as well, it looks fantastic.

I sincerely hope its a good year for Nintendo next year, I think the WiiU is a great little console, goes perfectly with my PS4! :D

  3. Let’s hope Mario Kart 8 is out during the fist half of the year then, as the system could do with another interesting title not too long after Donkey Kong.
