The Limited Edition Xbox One Titanfall Controller Looks Familiar

Lucky customers in the United States can pre-order the snazzy new Titanfall Xbox One controller for just $64.99.

Own a piece of gaming history and fight in style with the Xbox One Titanfall Limited Edition Wireless Controller. Designed in partnership with Titanfall creator Respawn Entertainment, it’s inspired by the C-101 carbine, used by the elite IMC Titan Pilots of the Frontier. Crafted in striking detail for maximum authenticity in color and graphics, the controller looks and feels like an artifact from the world of Titanfall.

Or alternatively, the controller looks like an artefact from the world of WipEout as the design is very similar to the art style used throughout the series.

“In a collaborative effort with the Xbox design team and the Respawn art department our goal was to create a controller that feels as if it is a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall and into players hands,” stated Joel Emslie, Lead Artist at Respawn Entertainment.

Still a bit WipEout-y though, isn’t it Joel?

Also, you have made some nice stickers and applied a paint job, it’s still the same bog standard controller underneath, what’s with claiming like it feels like “a piece of military spec hardware”? Overdoing the hype a little bit, perhaps?

GAME have swiped the exclusive rights for the controller in the U.K. but do not have a pre-order page at the moment.

  1. Lol at tuffclubs paint and stickers comment. If you really think all they did was paint it and add some stickers to a standard Xbox one controller then you really shouldn’t be writing stories on a gaming website

    • I’ve never seen Tuffclub on the site but if it isn’t just a different paint scheme what is it,is it actually a different controller in anyway from the standard controller apart from the appearance/paint?

    • There is nothing in the PR release or the specs to indicate this is anything other than the standard controller with extra stickers. If they did change something, they didnt mention it.

  2. Looks pretty much like a standard xbox pad with added stickers to me too. It does look pretty mind you. :p

  3. Eye sore!

  4. It’s a standard Xbox one controller in a new colour. The Coloured parts aren’t stickers they will be some kind of printed on design. Not simply a painted controller with stickers added onto it. By the way he described it it sounded like someone had sprayed it with a tin of aerosole paint and put some stickers on it. Smh

    • OK so you youtself confirm it’s a standard controller painted differently. The actual mechanics havent changed.

Painting something doesnt make it “feel” different. Changing the hardware would. That was my point. Anyone can grab a paintbrush and make a nice new design.

In fact – case point – Hundreds of the buggers, for $10

      • The plastic itself will be a different colour. Painting it would create problems with the pieces fitting together.
