Bethesda has confirmed the voice cast list for Elder Scrolls Online and it is full of great talent from Hollywood superstars to comedic royalty. So, who are these people who will be lending their voices to the sprawling MMORPG. Well heading up the list is John Cleese, famous for many acts & roles from Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, and various film roles.
This list also includes Kate Beckinsale of the Underworld movies, which would come in handy if she has a vampire role in Elder Scrolls Online, as well as the Total Recall remake. Bill Nighy is also involved, who you may recognise from the classic Shaun Of The Dead, and Harry Potter.
Continuing the Harry Potter link is Michael ‘Dumbledore’ Gambon, who has also starred in The Book Of Eli and Ali G Indahouse. Malcolm MacDowell was in also in The Book Of Eli, and has done a lot of voice work over his long career including Phineas and Ferb, Killzone 3 and Superman The Animated Series.
Continuing the DC Universe link is Lynda Carter, the most iconic Wonder Woman to grace television screens to date. She is no stranger to the Elder Scrolls universe having lent her voice to Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Alfred Molina will also be starring in Elder Scrolls Online and, to keep the ever tenuous links going in this post, he also has links to a superheros starring as Doctor Octopus in Spider Man 2, and Ares in a Wonder Woman cartoon.
It’s a major cast that must have cost a fortune to assemble, but it all now depends on how those voices translate to the game. We don’t have long to wait as The Elder Scrolls Online launches on PC in March, while PS4 and Xbox One versions follow in June.

Good cast indeed, Kate Beckinsale hey.
I bet they have that thing from Men in Black too, that dude that can only be described as a “bug” kinda fella, him and his family no doubt. Pretty sure they’ve been in the Elder Scroll series a while now, usually the ones behind the scenes ruining the potential of everything else Elder Scroll.

Impessive indeed, I hope they’ve made the combat a bit more interesting than in previous games though. They could do with taking a look at the Dark Souls games. Fix that and I’ll be tempted.

When this comes out on ps4…. i dread to think how many hours of my life will disappear

Hopefully this goes free to play after a few months.
The game plays great, but I can’t justify paying the subscription fee for just one game.

An impressive voice cast indeed. However, it doesn’t always mean quality does it? It depends on if the actors in question commit to it and deliver their stuff well or just ‘phone it in’. There’s a lot of talent already working in this field that are unheard of outside of the gaming industry.
I can see how that list of names on a retail box could help to shift units, but I can’t see that this game would need it?

I thought it pretty funny that you listed Ali G Indahouse among Michael Gambon’s credits – probably not one of his proudest achievements, though who am I to judge?

Not touching this game with a barge pole – MMOs are the devil!
