Shining Resonance Will Be Resonating On PS3 As Development Confirmed

Media. Vision, the developers behind Wild Arms, has confirmed that Shining Resonance is in development for PS3, though it is likely it will be a Japanese exclusive title. Tony Taka, who has worked on previous Shining games, will be returning for this project, while Flight Unit will be handling the character models. Some details about the game were also revealed in Famitsu, including characters. Apparently the main protagonist will be a dragon called Kouryuu Ilban.

Other characters include Kirika Towa Alma who wants to understand dragons, and also inherits the ancient song. This allows her to unlock a powerful attack for the dragon, though Kirika will apparently be better as a healer. Other characters include Blanshe, a princess who is also knight with magical abilities, Bretthart who is like an older sibling to the protagonist, and not the Hitman. Finally a knight called Zalbard may be the antagonist as he hunts dragons.

Shining Resonance is in the very early stages of development, with only 5% of the work complete so it won’t be out for a while. Other information included things such as other dragons will be enemies, and four party members can take part in battles at the same time. It’s likely we won’t see much of this until next year when much more work has been complete, and maybe there will be a hope of localisation.
