Five Hairy New Screens For Bloodborne

PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne has been graced with some new screens and unlike the last lot, you can actually see what is going on in these ones.

“Face your fears as you search for answers in the ancient city of Yharnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire,” explains the PR blurb. “Danger, death and madness lurk around every corner of this dark and horrific world, and you must discover its darkest secrets in order to survive.”

Judging by the screenshots and the name of the game, that illness appears to be linked to werewolves.

The game will feature a “unique arsenal of weaponry, including guns and saw cleavers” and “stunningly detailed gothic environments, atmospheric lighting, and advanced new online experiences showcase the power and prowess of the PlayStation 4 system.”

Bloodborne, like most other games, will be released next year.

  1. Promising concept art. The lighting (or lack thereof) looks lovely. I don’t always want vibrant, well lit games and something a bit moodier can be quite the tonic to what I used to refer to as the “original Far Cry palette” which appeared to be made to burn the effing cones out of my eyes! :-)

    • I’m pretty sure that aint no concept art, there are various sort videos showing some of these scenes on the net.
After watching them and seeing these new pictures I’m convinced the main character has been inspired by the two leads in the awesome movie: The brotherhood of the wolf.

      • Have either of you fine folk a link to the trailer that features the above? I’ve seen the E3 début trailer but little else. Sorry.

    • Yup those are screens Bunny, not concept art.

  2. It looks seriously atmospheric, and very impressive. I particularly like the look of the mist/fog.

    I wonder how Souls-like it’ll be.
