Everyone’s favourite game about a completely normal dad is going to be getting some new levels some time this summer, with the Octodad Shorts DLC telling a few more little stories from his life. The best part is that these levels are all going to be free!
It’s not clear just how many Shorts will be released, but two screenshots were released which do point at scenarios like a date night with Scarlet and an attempt to broach that question about their kids…
To break it down, Young Horses provided some handy bullet points, so that you know what to expect:
- Over 40 new objectives!
- Over 20 breakable plates!
- Over 0 unconscious ragdolls!
- Under 4 new songs!
- An unspecified amount of new octopus sounds!
- Probably a pizza!
- 0 Stealth Missions
But it wouldn’t be a DLC announcement without a video featuring some celebratory cake making.

In this day and age where everything is about superhuman soldiers and explosions, it’s nice to be able to play a game about an everyday normal man once in awhile.
