Crimsonland Will Be Painting Your Screen Red From July 15th On PS4

10tons has announced that Crimsonland will be launching on PS4 on July 15th in North America, and the following day on the 16th in Europe. The dual stick top down shooter will pit players against hordes of giant spiders, monsters, aliens and zombies over 60 various missions. The game is actually an updated version of the original which was also produced by 10tons in 2003. The new version does have additional content and upgraded graphics over its predecessor.

On top of the 60 levels players will have a choice between 30 weapons to kill beasts with, and 55 perks with which you can improve your soldier. These perks will reduce the reload time or shoot special ammo like poison bullets. The game has three difficulty settings, and there are also five different survival modes to conquer. Multiplayer will allow up to four people to play together locally against a horde that grows dependent on how many players there are.

  1. I may be going against the grain here somewhat, but I think that looks utterly shocking for a PS4 title.

Looks like an Amiga or Atari ST classic, but not something I would personally be interested in on PS4 in 2014.

  2. ‘perks will increase the reload time’

Doesn’t sound like much of a perk to me; reduce maybe?
