Halo: The Master Chief Collection ‘Mjolnir Edition’ Announced For The UK

Halo fans in the UK, this might be proper cause for excitement. Video gamer retailer GAME have announced a new special edition of Halo: The Master Chief Collection called the ‘Mjolnir Edition’, and it packs quite the punch. No, really, the statue it includes is big enough that it would likely hurt if it hit you in the face.

Halo Collection Special Edition

Aside from the 12-inch Master Chief statue, the Mjolnir Edition also includes a physical map book, the grunt funeral DLC skull (in previous games, this difficulty buff caused grunts to explode when they die), and a steel book case.

Of course, none of that mentions that crazy amount of content that already comes with the game, which is all four Halo games that focus on Master Chief, including the anniversary editions of the original Halo and Halo 2, the latter of which is brand new. It also includes the digital series, Halo: Nightfall, and a beta invite for the Halo 5: Guardians beta

The pre-order will set you back £169.99, and launches alongside the standard game on November 14th. No word on how many of these Microsoft is putting out, but if it’s anything like the recent special editions I’ve been seeing in the US, you may want to pre-order sooner rather than later if you’re interested.

  1. For a collector I guess, it’s not an issue, but given that bar the statue, great though it is, all you’re getting is a book, a DLC skull and a steel book case it seems quite expensive… then again this is GAME

  2. Statue looks awesome but way too expensive for me to consider.

  3. I’ve finally worked out why it’s so expensive, the limited edition which you get everything but the statue in is £52.99….. the limited edition is exactly £117 more…. 117…. Spartan-117….

GAME clearly thinking they’ll be able to empty your wallet (and then some) on that little bit of correlation.

    You scamps!

  4. Ooh, that’s tempting. I wonder if I can find a retailer in Scandinavia that sells it. As adding import taxes to the already expensive price is not happening.
