Life Is Strange Developer Diary Delves Into The Game’s Background

Life Is Strange developer DONTNOD has released a video diary looking at the background of the upcoming episodic game, with discussion about the main characters and the themes the studio hopes to tackle. These include things like unemployment and alcoholism, and how those things affect the main characters due to the supporting cast around them. The video also shows the difference between the two main characters. Maxine & Chloe, especially their personalities where one seems outgoing while the other appears to be shy.

There’s also some other information in the video including that out of the publishers DONTNOD approached Square Enix was the only one not to ask for male leads. The whole idea for playing with time was inspired by the developers first game, Remember Me, especially the memory mixing part. Production for Life Is Strange began almost two years ago in April 2013 too. Life Is Strange’s first episode is scheduled to release at the end of this month for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The episodes are priced at £3.99 each, but you can buy the pass for £15.99.

  1. I failed to notice previously that this was going to be episodic but i will definitely try the first episode as it sounds interesting, and 3.99 won’t hurt.
