New 3DS Release Date Leaks Ahead Of Nintendo Direct Tomorrow

There’s going to be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow at 2PM, and we were expecting to see the North American and European release date for the New 3DS and New 3DS XL. Thankfully, thanks to this leaked poster, you won’t have to wait much longer…

That’s right, the 13th of February, and it looks as though Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate could be arriving alongside it. That, or it could just be pointing to future releases for the system.

Interestingly, these systems come in red and black which is more inline with the original 3DS release than the colour system of the New 3DS in Japan. The new system comes with improved 3D, Amiibo support, a small secondary C-stick, and faster processing power for some games.

While the poster – via NeoGAF – may not be concrete evidence, a second source of GameStop management has confirmed the release date to Gamnesia. Whatever the case, we’ll find out for sure tomorrow.

  1. Well that’s a new console for me next month, though thanks to Nintendo’s archaic data transfer rules I won’t be able to trade in my old 3DS XL as I have to keep it to transfer all of my purchases across.
