In our first podcast in a post Peter world, it’s Teflon who managed to fight his way through the radioactive fallout from the a-Peter-calypse, as he termed it, and joined us in the recently vacated chair. Sadly Lewis didn’t quite make it to the show, a migraine striking him down at the last minute, but Kev, Teflon and I managed to get plenty done between the three of us.
After covering the week’s news, with the prerequisite, tangent ladened conversation, Tef took the time to tell us about Evolve, which sounds much more interesting than I initially thought, even if I’m not entirely sold on the whole “play with people” element. He also gave us the low-down on the Battlefield: Hardline beta which, even with its multiplayer focus, sounds absolutely fantastic. Hopefully I can squeeze in a quick hour or two before EA shuts it down.
As for Kev, he’s been playing Never Alone. I hadn’t actually heard of this game before, but the fact that it was created as a collaboration between developers Upper One Games and the Iñupiat tribe from Alaska was more than enough to perk my interest. Kev also managed to put together a dinosaur quiz for this episode, a move that I was very much in favour of.
However, the most important thing to happen on this episode of the podcast was our first listener call. It may have been Kev’s brother calling Kev to complain about inFamous based broken promises, but it still counts. If you’d fancy calling in though do let us know and we’ll consider setting up some kind of virtual voicemail.

Very important data.

I never was a big fan of Joystiqs work (TSA and PSSite are enough for me in terms of gaming reading), but still seeing such a big name go down is quite sad. Especially right after they said that they are dropping numbers in reviews, I was looking forward to saying if this idea works – well seems it did not :/
Evolve sounds very interesting, but not something I’m that excited about to buy at the day of release or anywhere near that. Will wait for the price to drop down a bit, get a few friends to buy/play it and try it out then.
I’m impressed how much I learn from a podcast. Dinosaur knowledge. Nice!
O!!! Ow no you didn’t! Not a single Persona game in your life! Why do I listen to you! God!…ok, a bit overreacted there, but still: play them for Christ sake !
