Axiom Verge Releases On PS4 March 31st In North America, April 1st Europe

Axiom Verge’s developer Tom Happ has announced that the side scrolling action title will be available to download on PS4 on March 31st in North America, with Europe getting the game a day later on April 1st. The PS Vita version of the title isn’t quite ready yet, and will release on a later date. Axiom Verge will also be cross buy so you will get both editions for one price, which itself is set at $19.99/€17.99.

The game itself is about a scientist called Trace who finds himself in an alien world after an accident. He will be able to wield various power ups including the Nova Gun, where a bullet can be detonated to explode into six smaller rounds. There is also the drill to access new areas, and the address disruptor to make enemies glitch. The game has also been localised into six languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

  1. Looks interesting.

  2. Oh look one of those over 200+ games sony listed the other day coming out this year

  3. I’m not sure if i’ll bite at that price but it reminded me enough of Turrican that i’m interested.

  4. For a one man job, its effing impressive, credit where credit is due but by god im sick of these 8bit 16bit throwback bull!

    Ok let the backlash begin.

    • No backlash here – I don’t mind the odd one or two here or there, but it does seem that the store has become a little over-saturated with these types of games recently.
