The Castle Game Brings Strategy To PlayStation 4

Neptune Interactive Inc., a small Toronto-based studio comprised of a programmer, an artist, and an audio wizard, have announced The Castle Game for PlayStation 4.

You must build and arm a fortress using archers, knights, sorceresses, catapults, and traps, and defend yourself from, what else, but evil minions.

“We’re huge fans of Warcraft, the Lord of the Rings, and the Game of Thrones,” say Neptune Interactive. “The Castle Game’s environments and designs are hugely inspired by these awesome works of art.”

The team have been working hard to make the controls as intuitive as possible, aware that playing tactical games with a controller can be a little difficult. The game has been tailored so you can quickly move through battlefield using FPS style controls, with a bird’s eye view of the action.

The game will be released “in the next few months” and is also scheduled for release on the Wii U.

  1. So basically a tower defence game (yawn)…or something more elaborate (yay)?

    • Looks slightly different in terms of gameplay, more of a base/castle defense than putting towers along a path.

  2. I like the look of this. I do love a bit of tower defence but feel the genre is getting very stale.
