Wasteland 2 Game Of The Year Edition Heading For PS4 & Xbox One

InXile Entertainment has confirmed it is bringing Wasteland 2 to both PS4 and Xbox One, and it will packaged in Game Of The Year edition. This version has been ported to Unity 5 which means a visual upgrade to Wasteland 2. This includes more refined character models, environments, as well as improved lighting effects.

Wasteland 2’s gameplay has also been upgraded to include new traits, called perks & quirks. Precision strike has also been added which allows players to target individual limbs of any enemies that the team of four Desert Rangers will face.

The original Wasteland is considered the inspiration for the Fallout games. Wasteland 2 tasks players with keeping the peace in post apocalyptic Arizona, with player actions having an effect on the lives of the residents in this land. At the moment the game is set for a Summer 2015 release.

  1. Excellent news, I’ve heard so many good things about this game, really looking forward to it. Never thought I’d see a game like this on consoles, great to see.

  2. Personally stoked for this.

  3. Backed an played the PC version, with luck some sort of version of Torment may come as well. Perhaps Pillars of Eternity as well, since they’re also using Unity.
