Nintendo has announced that Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, a Wii U exclusive, will be released in Europe on May 8th.
This date is much earlier than the one previously announced by Nintendo after their last Nintendo Direct pointed towards a release during the second half of 2015. Rainbow Paintbrush, named Rainbow Curse in the US, is a spiritual sequel to the DS entry, Kirby: Canvas Curse, which will require players to use the touchscreen of the GamePad to draw lines which help Kirby to roll along from A to B.
Four player co-op will be supported which will see your friends take control of the Waddle Dee characters and the game will also support Amiibo functionality.

This is great news! I was wondering why localisation of a Kirby game with minimal dialogue would take so long to release in Europe.

Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush…sounds like something my four year old would watch on CBeebies!

I’m sure your four year old would love to watch you play it too.
It’s called Kirby and The Rainbow Curse in the US. Because angry American Kirby is far edgier.

Great stuff. Will probably pick it up if its sensibly priced on the eShop (£29.99 or lower).

It’ll be priced similarly to Captain Toad, so about £35 or thereabouts?
