New Splatoon Trailer And A Metric Ton Of Screenshots

Splatoon was one of the Nintendo games making the rounds at PAX East, and today Nintendo released a trailer recapping their PAX showing and what some players thought about the game.

On top of this, a huge amount of new screenshots and art assets have been released by Nintendo. The art shows off a number of characters and items from the game officially rendered. The screenshots, meanwhile, show off things like character customization, shop menus, and even the campaign mode.

Splatoon is set to arrive soon on the Wii U.

  1. It’s lovely to see a shooter that’s not all about killing and approaches the genre differently. The art is wonderful, but I’m even more interested in the Jet Set Radio-esque music.

    • It’s looking and sounding great – I played it last year at EGX and it was a lot of fun, and yeah refreshingly different!

  2. It was probably the most fun game at EGX, just hope they allow you to aim with the right stick rather than having to flick the gamepad to spray paint everywhere.

    • The trailer says you can do both.

      • Just re-watched it and you’re right. Just needs a release date now!
