Infinity Runner Coming To PS4 Later This Month

Wales Interactive have announced that their first person sci-fi running game will be coming to PS4 on April 21st in North America and will release a day later in Europe.

“In Infinity Runner, you’ll find yourself desperately trying to escape a decaying starship and the clutches of terror within.” explains environment artist, Ben Tester. “Deep inside this leviathan something terrible hunts… out of myth and legend the last werewolf stalks the ship. Not only will you have to deal with the prospect of being hunted down and torn apart, but also you’ll bump into some of the last inhabitants of the ship, which will require the skills of those reasonably priced mixed martial arts lessons you picked up last summer. Did I forget to mention you’ll be doing all this butt naked?”

The most intriguing detail from Tester (besides the butt naked point) is that the game can be played without using buttons. You can jump, slide and dodge using the motion controls of the Dual Shock 4 which will no doubt make gameplay more interesting. This may work well with the running sections, whether these motion controls extend to the combat sections as well remains to be seen.

Tester also confirmed that the game will run at 1080p and be will targeted at 60fps, the trailer looks interesting but a little rough around the edges for a PS4 title. However, the game will only cost £4.99 when released which is cheaper than the PC version.

  1. A mirror edge clone, with werewolves and in space! Sounds like a winner!

  2. Are you sure this isn’t a PS3 game?
