It’s great seeing huge store updates like the one we had last week, as it reminds us how nice it is to have such a large breadth of new games and sales to choose from. Unfortunately, it has one other effect as well – making updates like the one this week seem very puny and underwhelming.

The sales section is the smallest I’ve seen in a long time, and the discount and price change categories are equally unimpressive. Thankfully, there are a couple of new games that at least try to make up for shortcomings in other areas. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood leads the way as a prequel to last year’s The New Order, with Ether One and Cosmophony also being notable releases. And if you missed out on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor last year, a new game of the year edition is up and waiting.

That’s really about it. Hopefully something in this update appeals to you, or you at least have something left over from previous weeks to keep you busy. Not every week can be a big week for games, I suppose.
